Deep Tissue & Sports Massage

Sports Massage can be for the whole body or for particular muscle tension or pain.

Each treatment is tailored to suit and will involve advanced massage techniques. This is great for a variety of issues including sports injuries, sciatica, stiff necks/headaches and lower back pain.

What can a Sports Massage do?

Help athletes to recover from injuries, more quickly and to prevent further injuries.

Improve athletic performance, helping athletes to improve their range of motion, flexibility, and strength.

Reduce stress and anxiety, which can improve athletic performance.

Promote overall health and well-being, by reducing pain, improving circulation and boosting the immune system.

As a Level 3 Sports Massage therapist, Jane Piper has studied anatomy and physiology, learning about the structure and function of the human body, with a specific focus on the muscles and soft tissues. She also understands the causes and effects of soft tissue dysfunction, and how to treat it through sports massage.

You may experience some discomfort during the treatment but the process will help reduce adhesions and scar tissue and increase health. Relief should be felt after the first treatment although extra treatments may be required to complete the healing process, depending on the damage.

The benefits of this massage will be experienced in many ways: pain relief, increased flexibility and mobility and an increase in general wellbeing.
