Kindful is a 5-week course for women who have suffered domestic abuse or trauma and would like to learn to live a kinder life, through mindfulness and compassion practices.

We offer a safe space, where once a week you can come together with other women, to learn practical strategies and practices to help life feel a little kinder and manageable.

The course focuses on building resilience, self worth, confidence, emotional regulation, compassion for yourself, stress reduction, positive relationships with yourself and others and generally improving or beginning self care.

A past group member commented, “Kindful gave me the opportunity to notice what I needed at this time. I felt safe with Hollie and the group. I have continued using a lot of the mindfulness practices daily, which I have been most surprised about but Hollie made it seem so effortless. I would recommend this course to anyone really.”

We are too often our own worst critic, constantly surrounded by the ever-expanding pressures of modern life. Whether it be family, work, relationships, study or illness, most of us struggle. That struggle is often coupled with social expectations, stress, responsibility and commitments. So much so that we tend not to be living in the ‘here and now’, but rather existing in autopilot.

This can lead to many of us feeling detached and depressed, anxious, and in some cases angry and frustrated.

Mindfulness can help us to just be OK with what is happening, react to our emotions and situations differently and when necessary, improve relationships, reduce anxiety and stress levels, be kinder to ourselves and others, and learn to live in the present moment.
